Full Stack Engineer
We’re ve2ventures, a venture studio that invests in external startups and also builds our own companies from the ground up. We are a unique mix of entrepreneurs, product and tech experts, driven by a passion for building amazing, innovative products. Together, we’re building the world’s largest sports and media tech ecosystem.
In 3 years, we’ve grown to a team of 60+, working on over 20 ventures and supported by 35 investors. As our startups grow and mature, so grows our need for high-quality output. That’s where you, our new Medior Designer, will come in. You’ll be working alongside two experienced designers to apply craft and visual storytelling across brand and digital experiences.
The Role
Joining ve2max as a Full-Stack Developer means taking ownership of features from concept through deployment, using AI-driven and spec-driven development to build robust, scalable applications. You connect polished frontend experiences to reliable backend services, contributing to seamless, end-to-end products. As you grow in the role, you become increasingly involved in technical decisions and help improve how we build and deliver software.
What You'll Do
Develop and maintain full-stack features across our core stack: Laravel (PHP 8.4) on the backend and a Vue 3 + TypeScript SPA on the frontend, plus custom Nova 5 admin resources.
Build responsive, performant, accessible user interfaces with Vue 3, Vite, and Tailwind.
Design and manage APIs and server-side logic in Laravel (app API and external API), with correct multi-tenant scoping and UTC/timezone handling.
Contribute to AI-powered features using LLMs and external AI services, and apply agentic, AI-driven development in your own workflow (Claude Code agents, skills, MCP).
Work spec-driven from epics and PRDs in Jira/Confluence: turn them into clear, reviewed specifications that guide both your own and AI-assisted implementation, and keep engineering docs (GitBook) in sync.
Integrate with Adyen for payments and third-party services, keeping flows reliable and well-tested.
Collaborate on deploying and maintaining AWS infrastructure (ECS, RDS, SQS, Redis) via CloudFormation and GitLab CI/CD.
Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of what you ship — backed by PHPUnit tests and Cypress/Playwright E2E coverage.
Contribute to improving development workflows, tooling, and code quality (Larastan, ECS, ESLint).
What You Bring
Required
5+ years as a full-stack developer or similar.
Strong PHP experience with Laravel (Symfony experience welcome) and modern frontend tooling — Vue (or comparable component-framework experience, e.g. React, that you can bring to Vue).
Solid experience building APIs.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
Hands-on experience with AI/ML APIs (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI) and agentic development tools.
Experience with, or clear affinity for, spec-driven development.
A strong sense of ownership, a collaborative mindset, and clear communication.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Nice to HaveLaravel Nova or similar admin tooling.
Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, payment integrations (Adyen/Stripe), or timezone-heavy scheduling.
TypeScript depth and a good eye for design/usability.
Figma / design systems familiarity, and comfort working from Jira/Confluence specs.
Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
Why This Role Is Interesting
You'll ship real features end-to-end on a product where the hard parts — multi-tenancy, money, time zones — actually matter, using an AI-native, spec-driven workflow that's already wired into the repo (agentic reviewers, test generators, MCP tooling). It's a genuinely modern way to build, and you'll help push it further.
